Ch. Blue Bolt Gold Rush Page/Ch Pacific Rangler Wild Bill

Litter of 3, DOB, 10-17-92
Mr. Bill

Ditto, the specail girl in my life. Missed, never forgotten.

Ditto, as a puppy, is the watercolor painting background of our home page. Painted as a gift from an engineer friend I worked with at Tektronix Color Printer Division (now Xerox), Max Haralson. In memory of Ditto, I wanted copies made of this painting to give to families and friends. A favor was returned by one of our marketing people in the form of Ditto reprints. If you are a friend or family member of Ditto's, reprints are still available. Contact me for information.

Ch Rangler's Paige By Page. "Ditto", who has left us way to soon, is not only loved for what she could and did contribute to the breed, is loved for her uniqueness, character, charm and personality. She, like her mother Page, are sorely missed at the Rangler Homestead. Ditto had two littermates that went to live in pet homes. A brother that settled in the area and a sister that became the writing companion of a Jazz Music Reviewer in Seattle.

Ditto the baby, 7 mos old.

Billy is one of my three Rangler foundation dogs. He was bred by my good friends Noel Fall and Tone' Benestad as a joint venture with Noel's dog, "Eli" and a bitch owned and bred by Tone'. Tone' found Noel when Tone' was working at the Nisqually Kennel Club show and spotted Noel and Eli walking across the grounds. The rest is history, including a repeat of that breeding that produced Austin, CH Pacific Distant Thunder, the dog pictured on the AKC breed page for the AmStaff.
Eli and Chief (Page's son) where the only two AmStaffs showing in the area at the time. Noel and I traveled to a lot of shows together, trading that single point and finding majors anywhere we could! We even wittnessed a "gang" and police altercation when we stayed in a "not so great" part of town outside of city limits of Yakima, WA due to a breed ban.

Noel and I meet at a UKC show in 1987 when she and Minnie Mum were just youngesters! I hadn't planned to go and had missed the Saturday show when a fellow APBT fancier, Gary Stephens, called and told me I had to go." They are offering the biggest and nicest trophy I've ever seen", he told me. I argued that I just wasn't up to it and my dogs were not ready. He insisted I had to come if for no other reason than to see the trophy. So, Minnie Mum got a bath, up early and drove north for the show. Noel had a lovely little girl that had won "Best In Show" (which in UKC at the time would be the same as an AKC Best Of Winners) the day before. As I walked past Noel to the registration table she said, "There's today's competition!'

So, on to Billy. When the litter was born, Noel came to my house with them and said, "Pick a puppy, anyone but the girl". Billy came to live with Page and Jazzy. Billy is a mama's boy and loves women. Billy only sired two litters, for a total of 4 puppies, but giving me Ditto and Belle, I sure can't complain!
Page's Rangler story is on the Page/BA page.
